Well, I got a new tripod. It's nice, sturdy, and extremely compact (). I will not give the name of it, otherwise I'd sound too much like an advertiser (though I know that it doesn't come in 3 easy payments of $56.99).

Other than that, life goes on. Hmm...I need to go to bed soon or I'm going to fall of my chair.

I must be looking for attention or something so badly, because every time I get a comment for one of my photos I just go nuts and get all happy. It's just not like me.

Anyway, what has happened in the past 3 or so weeks? Well, I started school again (and, being in a slightly-abnormal version of year 11, I've got plenty of frees but still no sleep), and it's been going pretty well. More than a couple of my friends have moved house, school and/or country over the past six months, but my classmates and I are a strong bunch, so we'll be right.

Before that I went to the Australia Day festivities in the city, where My Cousin & Co. decided to cover me in zinc cream. Besides that, everything else has been fairly nice. Not extremely exciting, but very comfortable and nice. Aah...nice...

Hmm, yes, what? Oh right! My journal/blog thing! Photography? Yes, I am trying to find a photography competition to see how I'll do, so if anybody out there knows of a decent contest that I (i.e. somebody that lives in Melbourne) could enter, don't hesitate to suggest something.

Let's see...something to talk about to people who I may or may not know...

Well, I've just come back from a little week-long holiday in Sydney (which was great, btw), and I was told by somebody who I met during that holiday to start up a deviantART account. Though you might've already guessed, I followed her advice.

Basically I've been slowly adding some pictures to my gallery since I got back (because I'm just that cool ). There's nothing like trying to find your good photos to realise how few good photos I actually have. But that's just fine, so long as I have any good photos, and I'm hoping that I end up knowing if the majority of my better photos are actually better than something.
